Опять напишу, что я против понятия Современный тип в селкирках, так как порода пока открыта. Вот когда появится тип да устареет, тогда можно будет говорить о современном. А сейчас всё-таки я бы разделила на америкосов и европейцев. Всё-таки - тоже была против этого. Просто потому, что видя фото селкирков США, сразу определяю их происхождение, значит - есть отличия. И есть также много общего. Сырые - что здесь, что там. Всё ИМХО, конечно.
Ну хорошо. Как переименовать тему, что б ежу было понятно, что речь идет о типе представителей породы в привязке к стандарту? Давайте предложения.

Русский текст могу только предложить со своего сайта, рассуждения. Не для дискуссии - просто взгляд на породу, который может со временем поменяться.
Порода Селкирк Рекс американского происхождения, поэтому для себя я считаю логичным следовать стандартам и правилам, исходящим от бридеров США. По моему убеждению, селкирк – это тип + кудри. Вот распределение баллов в породе одной из американских систем – CFA: HEAD (33) 11 … Skull 11 … Muzzle & chin 11 … Ears and eyes BODY (33) 15 … Torso 13 … Legs and Feet 5 … Tail COAT (33) 33 … Texture, Curl, Density COLOR (1) 1… Including Eye Color Прокомментирую: В системе CFA отдано по 33 балла для головы, тела и шерсти, и всего 1 балл – на окрас, включая цвет глаз. На мой взгляд, окрас важен для селкирка в той степени, в которой он влияет на структуру шерсти, а значит – на качество кудрей. Ведь известно, что у животных различных окрасов есть отличия в структуре шерсти. Одним окрасам характерна более шелковистая шёрстка, другим – более набивная, плюшевая, третьим – жестковатая, …. мягкая и т.д. Есть мнение заводчиков, что для селкирка желательна мягкая шерсть, которая лучше формирует завиток. Хотя, на мой взгляд, это индивидуально, бывает и наоборот. Окрас также важен для шоу, да и для собственного удовольствия заводчика и владельцев селкирков, благо выбор палитры велик.

И стандарт нашей родной WCF: СЕЛКИРК РЕКС (Стандарт WCF) Тело:От крупного до среднего размера, мускулистое, приземистое. Грудь, плечи и спина широкие и массивные. Шея короткая и мощная. Конечности средней длины, мускулистые. Лапы толстые, круглые. Хвост средней длины, толстый, заканчивающийся округлым кончиком. Голова:округлая, массивная, широкая в области скул, сильный подбородок. Нос короткий, широкий, прямой. Профиль с переходом. Щеки полные, мощные. Уши:Средней величины, широкие у основания, со слегка округлыми кончиками. Поставлены широко. Глаза:большие, круглые, широко поставленные; цвет соответствует окрасу шерсти. Шерсть: средней длины, мягкая, с густым подшерстком и свободно ниспадающим завитком. Окрасы:Признаются все окрасы, в том числе колорпойнт; описания находятся в списке окрасов. Шкала оценок Тело:25 Голова:30 Цвет глаз:10 Текстура и окрас шерсти:30 Кондиция:5 Как бы там ни было, селкирк – это яркая индивидуальность и каждая кошка этой породы неповторима. ОСОБЕННОСТИ БРИДИНГА СЕЛКИРКОВ. У селкирк рексов могут родиться котята трёх видов: гетерозиготные по признаку кудрявости, гомозиготные и страйты (с прямой шерстью). Поскольку ген кудрявости в нашей породе доминантен, от страйтов, без кудрявого партнёра, кудряш родиться не может. Все три вида детёнышей отличаются не только набором генов, но и по эктерьеру (типу). Гомозиготные селкирки выглядят как маленькие инопланетяне. В скором времени после рождения они могут “раздеться”, потерять шерсть на время, а затем обрасти вновь кудрявой шёрсткой. Они и по типу отличаются от гетеро. Однако, для них не существует специального стандарта, поэтому заводчики стремятся, чтобы их гомозиготные потомки выглядели как типичные представители породы. Часто, по мере взросления, гомозиготный селкирк мало отличим от гетерозиготного. Само собой разумеется: все дети гомозиготного селкирка будут кудрявыми.

На фб промелькнуло фото трёх подростков селкирков из США. Так жалею, что не скопировала - пойду искать по лицам. Прям типичные. Ёпрст - есть хорошая типичная девочка на ФБ, Германия, в т.ч. и в профиль, но тырить ведь нельзя

Переведу сама, как оклемаюсь После стандарта там описание каждого окраса, принятого в селкирках. Может и их тоже сюда? Текст интересный, но займёт место. По названию, может тип, к которому идём? Ведь если понаблюдать, все заводчики стремятся примерно к одинаковому, единому типу. Селкирки у всех разные, а одобряем одних и тех же - реакция одинакова.

CREAM/CREAM TABBY: warm cream with or without tabby markings or ticking. Nose leather and paw pads: pink. CHOCOLATE: rich, warm chocolate-brown, one level tone. Nose leather and paw pads: brown. LAVENDER: one level shade, frosty pink. Nose leather and paw pads: lavender pink. SHADED PATTERN: Undercoat white with a mantle of specified marking color tipping shaded down from sides, face and tail from dark on the ridge to white on the chin, stomach and under the tail. Legs to be the same tone as the face. Rims of eyes, lips and nose outlined with marking color. Nose leather and paw pads as defined below. SHADED SILVER: Nose leather: brick red. Paw pads: black. Frown marks on the forehead form intricate letter “M”. Unbroken line runs back from outer corner of eye. Swirls on cheeks. Vertical lines over back of head extend to shoulder markings which are in the shape of a butterfly with both upper and lower wings distinctly outlined and marked with dots inside outline. Back markings consist of a vertical line down the spine from butterfly to tail with a vertical stripe paralleling it on each side, the three stripes well separated by stripes of ground color. Large solid blotch on each side to be encircled by one or more unbroken rings. Side markings should be the same on both sides. Double vertical row of buttons on chest and stomach. MACKEREL TABBY PATTERN: markings dense, clearly defined and all narrow pencillings. Legs evenly barred with narrow bracelets coming up to meet the body markings. Tail barred. Necklaces on neck and chest distinct; like so many chains. Head barred with an “M” on the forehead. Unbroken lines running back from the eyes. Lines running sown the head to meet the shoulders. Spine lines run together to form a narrow saddle. Narrow pencillings run around body. SPOTTED TABBY PATTERN: markings on the body to be spotted. Spots can be round, oblong or rosette-shaped. Any of these are of equal merit but the spots, however shaped or placed, should be distinct. Spots should not run together in a broken mackerel pattern. A dorsal stripe runs the length of the body to the tip of the tail. The stripe is ideally composed of spots. The markings of the face and forehead shall be typically tabby markings. Underside of the body to have “vest buttons”. Legs and tail are barred. PATCHED TABBY PATTERN: a patched tabby (torbie) is an established silver, brown, blue, red, cream, etc. tabby with patches of red, cream, lavender, etc. clearly defined on both the body and extremities; a blaze on the face is desirable. SILVER TABBY: ground color, including lips and chin, pale clear silver. Markings dense black. Nose leather: brick red. Paw pads: black. BROWN TABBY: ground color brilliant coppery brown. Markings dense black. Lips and chin the same shade as around the eyes. Back of legs black from paw to heel. Nose leather: brick red. Paw pads: black or brown. BLUE TABBY: ground color, including lips and chin, pale bluish ivory. Markings a very deep blue affording a good contrast with ground color. Warm fawn overtones or patina over the whole.
