Colour Descriptions for Spotted and Marbled Blue Bengals

Blue Tabby

All variations of blue/grey are allowed ranging from a pale blue/grey up to a gun metal blue/grey. Spotted or rosetted markings may be various shades of blue/grey, marbling may be ivory, rich cream or pale peach/pink on a blue/grey ground colour, any yellow or brown tarnish is undesirable. The base of the hair must be ivory, rich cream or peach/pink or very pale grey, with the pattern or base colour formed on the tip of the hair, (this gives the effect of the pattern floating on the surface of the coat). The basecoat must be ivory, rich cream or peach/pink in spotted cats or pale grey to dark grey in marbled cats, any yellow or brown tarnish within the base coat is undesirable. There may be a light coloured "thumb print" on the back of each ear. Face and paws should show peach/pink blushing. A pale colour, preferably ivory, rich cream or pale peach/pink should be seen on underside and inner legs stomach should show blue/grey spotting. Alternatively, the chest, underside and inner legs may be pale in contrast to the ground colour of the flanks and back. White or very light coloured spectacles encircling the eyes are desirable. The eye rim & lips should be outlined in black and the nose leather should be any colour variation between pink and brick red. Tail tip must be blue/grey. Glitter is highly desirable. The overall effect should be of the patterning floating on the surface of the coat, this is particularly noticeable in spotted cats.

Eye Colour-Gold, green or hazel.

Blue-Eyed Blue Snow (Blue Tabby Point)

Spotted or rosetted markings may be various shades of light blue/grey to charcoal, any yellow or brown tarnish is undesirable. The base of the hair must be ivory, rich cream or peach/pink, with the pattern or base colour formed on the tip of the hair, (this gives the effect of the pattern floating on the surface of the coat). The basecoat must be ivory or rich cream in spotted cats, with the pattern clearly visible, peach/pink blushing to coat is acceptable . Blue Platinum (Blue Tabby Sepia)

Spotted or rosetted markings may be various shades of blue/grey. Marbling may be ivory, rich cream on a blue/grey ground colour, any yellow or brown tarnish is undesirable.The base of the hair must be ivory, rich cream or very pale grey, with the pattern or base colour formed on the tip of the hair, (this gives the effect of the pattern floating on the surface of the coat). The basecoat must be ivory in spotted cats or pale grey to dark grey in marbled cats, any yellow or brown tarnish within the base coat is undesirable . (The coat may appear to have a peach coloured cast under certain artificial light and a daylight lamp should be used to examine the coat if there is uncertainty).There may be a light coloured "thumb print" on the back of each ear.
